Congratulations to the winners of the 2019 Youth Empowered through Service (YES) finals, held Thursday at Keene High School! The winning team included Natalie Bastille of Keene, Grace Phippard of Chesterfield, and Evie Proctor of Marlborough. Their presentation won a $3,000 grant to Kidz Cupboard for its work to end child hunger in Marlborough.

On behalf of the Mariposa Museum, we would like to thank Keene High School English, Inc. teacher Cathy Riley for coordinating this year’s YES program at KHS. Thanks to yesterday’s finals judges Erin Temmen of C&S Wholesale Grocers, Ted McGreer of Ted’s Shoe & Sport, and Marjorie Margolis (retired educator). And special thanks to C&S Wholesale Grocers, Caswell Foundation, and Putnam Foundation for your sponsorship of the YES program.
