Project Shakespeare Presents: Quilters, A Musical

Surrounded by our stunning exhibit of quilts by African American artists, Project Shakespeare performers (ages 5-18) perform the acclaimed musical about seven women facing frontier life. The musical is presented as a series of short tales and tableaux, each representing a "block" or aspect of frontier life or womanhood. Modal Music from Crete with Ross Daly and Kelly Thoma

Greece-based Ross Daly and Kelly Thoma will play a special concert at the Mariposa, performing as a quartet with musicians Tev Stevig and Michael K. Harrist of Çeşni Trio. Daly and Thoma are masters of the Mediterranean lyra, a bowed fiddle with more than a dozen sympathetic strings.
