Night Exploration of the New England Stars

Rags Gilmore, a long time veteran of skywatches around New Hampshire, will either bring telescopes to your house or welcome you to his to take you on a tour of the night sky. Depending on the time and season, you may be observing galaxies, star clusters, nebulae, seeing the rings of Saturn or the moons of Jupiter. He will also teach you about telescopes, and if you have your own, advise you on the best ways to use it. You may bring guests for this night of exploration. Rags has been a serious amateur astronomer since he moved to Greenfield and was inspired by the dark night skies. He is an active member of the New Hampshire Astronomical Society and is currently serving as treasurer. He travels frequently around the state to participate in skywatches where members of the NHAS teach those interested about stars and telescopes.
