Cranes for Peace!
Caring students helped the Mariposa fold 2,200 paper cranes to express wishes for peace in the Ukraine and a better world. Students from Jaffrey Grade School’s 5th grade, South Meadow School’s 8th grade, The Well School’s 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grades, Emerson Elementary School’s 2nd grade, Mountain Shadows, and home school families folded 1,000 cranes which are now being hand-delivered in the Ukraine by the Mariposa’s Nadiya Weidman. Jaffrey Grade School’s 5th grade continued on to fold 1,200 additional cranes to express their wishes for world peace, no more homelessness, an end to child labor, soldiers home for the holidays, a cure for cancer, letting it “snow money” on the poor, and no more homework! Thanks to all!
