Peterborough Players Comes to Mariposa for First FridayIn the first edition of a new downtown series on First Fridays, the Mariposa is thrilled to host the Peterborough Players for a free program on Friday, June 7 at 6pm. Players Artistic Director Gus Kaikkonen will introduce the 2019 Summer Season and popular company members Bridget Beirne and Tom Frey will perform a brief excerpt from a favorite play (and also talk about how the Players helped draw them from their long-time residence in New York to a home in Peterborough!).

Peterborough Players Comes to Mariposa for First Friday“We look forward to welcoming friends downtown,” said Players Managing Director Keith Stevens. “We love having the opportunity to step outside the barn and into the beautiful space at the Mariposa Museum for this program.”

Admission is free, doors open at 5:30pm, and the program will begin at 6pm.

Project Shakespeare Presents: Quilters, A MusicalSurrounded by our stunning exhibit of quilts by African American artists, Project Shakespeare performers (ages 5-18) perform the acclaimed musical about seven women facing frontier life. The musical is presented as a series of short tales and tableaux, each representing a “block” or aspect of frontier life or womanhood. Book by Molly Newman and Barbara Damashek, music and lyrics by Barbara Damashek. Directed by Deborah Shakespeare Thurber. Musical Director is Gene Faxon.
