The Mariposa Museum group visits program is available for:
Children in schools
Children in summer programs
Home schooling organizations
Plus more!
Group maximum: 25 kids
Price: $10 p/p.
4 chaperones are included.
Visits for larger and special needs groups can be accommodated by the museum per request.

What is included in a Group Visit?
Regular group visits last between 2.5-3 hrs and can be scheduled Monday to Friday mornings, starting at 9 am.
The groups in their visits enjoy:
• Our current temporary exhibit
• Our permanent collections
• A field trip program to be chosen from the list below
• An optional craft (by request)
• Time and space for a break and snack/lunch.
This year our exhibits are: Stitching time: The Social Justice Collaboration Quilts Project, Crying in the Wilderness: An Immigrant's Journey in Detention, Tradition and Revolution in Indian Shadow Puppetry, and The Calling: The Transformative Power of African American Doll and Puppet Making. These are in addition to the museum's permanent exhibits of folk art and hands-on art stations, puppet theaters, musical instruments to play, and games and puzzles from around the world.
Where are we located?
Since 2002, the Mariposa Museum & World Culture Center (has pioneered a space in New Hampshire dedicated to diversity and inclusion and in which all people can feel welcome. Through interactive arts and multimedia exhibits exploring human experience and the many cultures of the world, games, musical instruments, and public programs of musical and dance performance, storytelling, lectures, and film, the Mariposa offers children and parents, teachers and students, and individuals and groups of all ages a way to encounter and explore difference while affirming and celebrating a shared humanity.
Our permanent college houses objects of all kinds from dozens of diverse cultures and countries from around the world. And out temporary exhibits often feature contemporary paintings, photography, crafts, sculptures and more from underrepresented voices across the US.
We are located in the heart of the Monadnock region, in scenic Peterborough NH. Our address is 26 Main Street, Peterborough, NH 03458.

The Mariposa Museum and World Culture Center is a multicultural museum dedicated to fostering peace and understanding across cultural borders. We offer a great hands-on learning environment for visitors of all ages, as well as monthly performances, programs for schools and libraries, and memberships.
The Mariposa is open Wednesday through Sunday from 11:00am to 5:00pm and by appointment on Mondays and Tuesdays.
